At Extraordinary Sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs
1 / 7

At June 4 extraordinary sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs moderated by Narek Zeynalyan debated in the second reading the draft law on Making Addenda to the Law on Temporary Invalidity and Maternity Allowances. According to the key speaker Narek Zeynalyan, the adoption of the draft law stems from the degree of the social protection of the isolated and self-isolated working citizens conditioned by the new coronavirus and fills in the legislative gap.

The key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Smbat Saiyan recorded regarding the draft law that the day before the Government distinctly was against the initiative. Considering acceptable the idea of the draft law, nevertheless the opinion of the Government remained unchanged, taking into consideration the rather high level of the existing financial uncertainty relating to the draft law.

Smbat Saiyan proposed the author of the draft law to return it to the first reading regime in the established order, the phase of submitting the recommendations, and jointly work during that period, make appropriate accounts and work out certain checking and mitigating high level of financial uncertainty.

Narek Zeynalyan considered acceptable the version proposed by the Government.

The draft law was endorsed.
